This book tells the story of St. Catherine of Siena (d. 1380), one of the greatest saints of all time. Influencing thousands during her life to bring them back to Catholicism, she worked to end the "Great Western Schism" and to bring Pope Gregory XI back to Rome.  Many of her efforts on behalf of the Faith is witnessed to in the hundreds of lettes she wrote to political and religious leaders during her life.  She was declared a Doctor of the Church by Pope Paul VI.
